This traditional well was specifically built to serve villages suffering from severe water shortages and a complete lack of electrical infrastructure. With a manual lifting mechanism using multiple buckets, men and women can draw water simultaneously with ease and speed.
The project serves more than 120 people daily, equivalent to about 15 families or more, and provides a vital source of clean water suitable for daily use.
